Change Fee Policy: If changes are allowed on a tour or activity, a $20.00 per reservation change fee will be applied for any change to a reservation. While we cannot guarantee any changes can be made, all change requests must be submitted a minimum of 24 hours prior to the tour departure and must be handled on an individual basis through our Reservations Center.

Feel right at home as you cruise in climate-controlled comfort. You'll dine on a wonderful buffet while attentive servers cater to your every request. Enjoy a bountiful meal as you gaze at an endless stream of city sights. Listen to talented entertainers dazzle you with song. Then stroll our decks or dance away your cares as our DJ spins an upbeat medley of hits. Unlike a restaurant or banquet hall, the Spirit brings the Boston skyline to you in all its ever-changing glory. You won't find such an array of attractions anywhere else.
The Sights
Your cruise departs from the Commonwealth Pier at the World Trade Center in the Seaport District. Your excursion covers the historic harbor with spectacular views of the city's downtown. No trip to Boston is complete without a view from the deck of our festive ship. And while you're enjoying all the highlights, you can dine, dance and have a great time, too.
1. World Trade Center
The financial hub of Boston.
2. Boston Tea Party
Here in 1773, rebels disguised as Indians dumped tea into the harbor to protest British taxes.
3. Boston Massacre
A simple circle of cobblestones marks the site where five American colonists were killed by British soldiers in 1770. The brutality of this incident helped spark the anti-British rage that ultimately led to the American Revolution.
4. Old North Church
This is the oldest church building in Boston built in 1723, where the first bells on the American continent sounded from the church in 1744. It steeple is best known for the lantern signal that sent Paul Revere on his famous ride.
5. Bunker Hill Monument
221-foot granite obelisk with a spiral staircase to the top, marking the site of the Battle of Bunker Hill, which took place June 17,1775. The monument contains exhibits about the battle.
6. Old Ironsides
The USS. Constitution, also known as "Old Ironsides," earned her nickname because of her invincibility in battle. Old Ironsides was launched in 1797 and is the oldest fully commissioned naval vessel in the world.
7. USS Casin Young
World War II Naval Destroyer.
8. Mystic Tobin Bridge
The Tobin Memorial Bridge was erected in 1948-49 and opened to traffic in 1950. It connects the Charlestown section of Boston with Chelsea.
9. McKay Shipyard
Donald McKay who came to NYC as a boy and worked in
the East River shipyards. By the mid-1840's, McKay opened his shipyard at East Boston, MA. His most famous ships were built for the run between New York and San Francisco.
10. Hodge Boiler Works
Former site of the Hodge Boiler Works that was updated by the city in 2002. The Hodge Boiler Works project will offer a seamless connection from Clippership Wharf to the existing LoPresti Park via the Harborwalk and its planned open space configuration.
11. Penny Ferry Berths
Site of East Boston's famous ferry that used to cruise to downtown Boston for a penny a person.
12. Logan Airport
Boston's largest international airport. Fourteenth busiest airport in the world.
13. Fort Independence/Castle Island
Fort Independence is located at the entrance to Boston Inner Harbor. First settled in 1634. The island features the nation's oldest fully maintained fort.

The ship is alive with entertainment. Enjoy your favorite tunes woven into an interactive "Solid Gold" live musical revue (through April 30). Starting May 1, enjoy our Celebration 2006 musical show, starring some of Boston's best singing talent. Then get moving as the DJ picks up the beat for non-stop dancing. While you relax and have fun, every window displays an endless stream of city sights. Whether you want to dance in the moonlight or gaze in wonder at the Boston skyline, you'll find a different experience every minute.

Our three-hour dinner cruise will tempt you with a bountiful buffet offering a carving station, delicious entrée options, and savory side dishes. You'll finish with a choice of dessert. Where does the ship go?
The ship departs from the World Trade Center in the Seaport District. While sailing routes may vary, the Spirit of Boston cruises as far south as Castle Island/Fort Independence and as far north as the Mystic River along the Boston skyline.
Are there any age requirements?
Anyone may sail on our lunch and dinner cruises.
What type of entertainment is offered?
The emcee plays a variety of lively dance music from the '40s through today. In addition, our lunch and dinner cruises feature a professional cast of performers who provide lively entertainment throughout the trip. Our lunch cruise also includes a narration.
What is your smoking policy?
All interior areas of our ship are non-smoking areas. Passengers who enjoy smoking may do so on the outdoor observation decks.
Will my cell phone work on the cruise?
Yes, your cell phone will work on the cruise. For the comfort of other guests, we ask that cell phone conversations be held on the outside decks.
Do I need a reservation?
Yes.

How far in advance should I make reservations?
If you're planning for a large group, call us as soon as possible. A few months will make it easier to accommodate all of your preferences. Individuals should try to book within 30 days of their planned cruise. Of course, reservations can be made right up to the day of the cruise, provided there is space available. We recommend calling as early as you can, especially for special event cruises such as Mothers Day.
Which credit cards are accepted?
We accept VISA, MasterCard, and Discover.
Can I make reservations by phone and pay at the ship?
No. For individual parties, payment is required in full at the time of the reservation.
What should I wear?
For evening cruises, appropriate attire is casual to dressy. Men traditionally wear slacks and sport coats, with or without ties. Women wear dresses or nice pants. We do not recommend T-shirts, jeans, shorts or sneakers in the evening. Afternoon cruises are generally more relaxed, and casual attire is fine.
Is parking available at the ship?
We offer complimentary parking at the Seaport Hotel Parking Garage for dinner guests Monday - Friday ONLY! Guests must enter the Seaport Hotel Parking Garage after 5:00 pm and exit prior to 11:00 pm. Please be sure to bring your boarding pass with you to the hotel garage when you leave. It is necessary for complimentary parking validation. For all other cruises, discounted parking is available at the Seaport Hotel Parking Garage. Our guests are offered 35% off the posted hotel garage rates. Your boarding pass is necessary to receive the discount. Outdoor lots on Northern Avenue are also available. However, we do not offer any discounts or validation. Parking rates vary from $7 to $10 per day. Prices are subject to change.
Do you sail in inclement weather?
The ship is fully enclosed and climate-controlled for your comfort and cruises rain or shine. If for any reason the ship does not sail, the event will be held dockside.
How early should I arrive for my cruise?
You may pick up your tickets one hour before the cruise time. We generally board the vessel one hour prior to the cruise.
Will I get seasick?
It's unlikely. The ship is one of the largest and most stable cruise ships on the Boston waterfront. On rare occasions when the water is very rough, our Captain will sail the vessel within the breakwater area.
What kind of food is served?
Our cruises feature all-you-can-eat buffets with delicious choices prepared on board by our executive chefs and their galley staffs. Selections include beef, poultry and seafood with fresh vegetables, salad, rolls with butter, and dessert. With advance notice, we can accommodate requests for kosher meals, and we can arrange special meals for guests with allergies. Other specialty menus are available for deck or full-ship charters.
What do drinks cost?
Mixed drinks start at $7.00 for standard brand liquors, $8.25 for premium drinks. Specialty cocktail drinks start at $9.00 and frozen drinks at $9.75. All beer is sold by the bottle, with domestic beers for $5.50 and imported for $5.75. Wine begins at $8.00 per glass. Soft drinks are $2.00 each and juice is available for $2.00 each. These prices do not include tax and gratuity.
How is seating arranged on board?
Our ships feature cabaret-style seating. The majority of our tables accommodate four to eight people and guests are sometimes seated with other parties. Please speak to a sales representative about details and pricing. Please understand that we cannot guarantee specific seating on the deck.
Rates do not apply for specialty cruises such as New Year's Eve, Valentines Day, July 4th, or Mother's Day.
